Core Functionality

The Fuel Station Locator aggregates and displays fuel prices from providers across the UK. Users can search by postcode, use their device GPS, or interact with the map to find the best fuel prices within a specified radius.

Map Interactions

  • Standard Click: Clicking on any price pin on the map or row in the data table will open a detailed view of the station, showing amenities, opening times, and historical price data.
  • Right-Click (Desktop): Right-clicking anywhere on the map will automatically set that location as your new search center and refresh the results.
  • Long-Press (Mobile): Pressing and holding a location on the map for a few seconds will drop a pin and set that location as your new search center.

Crowdsourced Station Status

To ensure data remains accurate between official updates, users can report stations as closed or specific fuel types as sold out. The map uses a color-coded pin system to reflect these reports.

142.9p Normal / Verified
No recent closure or sold-out reports.		 N/A
142.9p Warning / Sold Out
A specific fuel type was reported sold out in the last 14 hours, OR the station was reported closed between 5 and 24 hours ago.		 Clears after 14 hours (sold out), 24 hours (closed), or when a new price update is received from the provider.
142.9p Reported Closed
The station has been reported closed within the last 5 hours.		 Downgrades to Warning (Amber) after 5 hours, or clears completely if a new price update is received.
